Materials: three 8 ft 2x4s, 3/8" dowels, wood glue, water-based polyurethane.

Tools used: mitre saw, planer, table saw, pocket hole drill bit (for the dowel holes), jigsaw or bandsaw, long clamps, pull saw, sander. A jointer is optional.
