Materials: three 8 ft 2x4s, four 90° metal connectors, 3 1/2" wood screws with large washers, wood glue, stain (Varathane wood ager, flat finish).

Tools used: mitre saw (with a stop block), table saw, planer, bandsaw or jigsaw, drill with 3/4" bit, speed square, clamps, sander. A jointer is optional.
